Video Compressor (“the app,” “we”) is built by bunchofapps. We collect as little as possible. This explains what the app does and doesn’t collect.
No account, no sign-in
The app never asks you to create an account, log in, or provide your name, email, or any personal details.
Your videos stay on your device
All compression happens entirely on your iPhone using Apple’s on-device video tools. Your videos are never uploaded to our servers or shared with anyone.
What we collect
- Anonymous device identifier — a random identifier stored on your device, not linked to your name, email, Apple Account, or contacts. Used only to keep analytics consistent and to associate your subscription status.
- Anonymous usage analytics — via Amplitude, aggregate events (e.g. screens viewed, features used) to understand and improve the app.
- Subscription status — via RevenueCat and Apple, to validate in-app purchases and know whether you have an active subscription or Lifetime purchase. We never see or store payment card details; Apple handles all payments.
Third-party services
Apple (in-app purchases), RevenueCat (subscription management), Amplitude (anonymous analytics). The app does NOT use Google, Firebase, advertising networks, or any cross-app/website tracking.
What we don’t do
We don’t sell your data, use it for advertising, or track you across other apps or websites. The app is not directed to children under 13.
Your choices
Delete the app to stop collection. To request deletion of anonymous analytics data tied to your device identifier, email support@bunchofapps.co.
